Fund Raising
How to Set-up a Group Fundraising Effort
School, Organizations and your Community are full of aluminum just waiting for an organiztion to recycle it and make money. Recycling is the perfect fund-raiser for your group -- there is no selling, it is easy to set up, and you get cash on the spot! And you can organize a collection drive to meet a short-term goal, or establish a plan to recycle on an ongoing basis.
-
Appoint a person to be incharge of this recycling effort.
-
Set recycling goals. Keep your goal realistic.
- Make a plan and get it on paper. Just about everyone you know will donate their recyclable goods, if they know it's for a good cause. Flyers, phone calls and door to door notice in your community will also be a big help. Notify the local media as well as neighborhood newsletters.
- Can Collection. Establish collection routes and include your group's name and telephone number on each box. Store the aluminum on your grounds in a shed, closet or special bin if you can. Or have volunteers save aluminum at home and then, on a designated day, have a drive.
- Keep an eye on your goal and pass it on to your group. Your overall progress keeps everyone excited about your recycling effort.
- Have your recycling leader give us a call. We would be glad to help.
